Roger A. Morse

 

Roger A. Morse, 67, of Johnstown died Saturday, June 22, 2013 at his home following an apparent heart attack. Roger was born on March 17, 1946 at Whitewater, WI, the son of Ivan E. and Marion R. (Wolske) Morse. He attended Johnstown community schools and graduated from Janesville Senior High School in 1964. In April of 1964, he was a member of the high school FFA dairy cattle judging team that was awarded first place which resulted in a trip to the National Dairy Congress at Waterloo, IA in October of that year. Roger farmed at Johnstown Center  his entire life and also served as sexton of the Johnstown Center Cemetery for 15 years.
Roger is survived by his mother, Marion R. Morse of Johnstown Center, his sister, Connie L.
(Keith) Benash of Edgerton, his brothers, Barry W. Morse and Duane I. Morse both of Johnstown Center, his aunt, Phyllis Wolske of Whitewater as well as several cousins. His father preceded him in death.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville. Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Johnstown Center Cemetery followed by burial there.
